I started a non profit shortly after Katrina hit with a friend of mine. We are called Blue Star Builders. We are a group now of 20 plus queer women and genderqueer/trans folks looking to repair/rebuild queer owned homes in New Orleans or nearby that were hit and damaged by the hurricanes of 2005. Please email me if you have a home or know of a home that needs our help. The repairs would happen at little to no cost to the owner as we have been fundraising and are volunteering our time.
